BARBERTON, Ohio — Barberton police say a dog attack injured two children and a neighbor on Thursday, Nov. 6.
The incident occurred around 3:41 p.m. near the intersection of Tennessee Place and Iowa Place, according to a police report obtained by 3News.
Police say a 9-month-old pit bull charged at two children playing outside. One child was bitten on the left leg, left arm and left hand, while the other sustained bites to both hands. Both were transported to Cleveland’s Children’s Hospital by Barberton Fire Department personnel.
A neighbor who rushed to help was also bitten on the left index finger, but was treated at the scene and did not require hospital transport.
According to the report, another woman intervened using a Taser to subdue the dog and prevent further injuries.
