MARION, Ill. (WSIL) -- The Salvation Army of Southern Illinois kicked off its annual Red Kettle Campaign at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center on November 7, 2025. This event marks the start of the bell-ringing season, a tradition that funds essential programs for families in need across Southern Illinois.
Sen. Dale Fowler and city leaders joined local business sponsors to celebrate the campaign's launch. Fowler encouraged residents to support The Salvation Army, praising its commitment to community needs.
"The Salvation Army is one of the most trusted organizations in the world," Fowler said.
Cody Moake, Chief of Staff, declared November 7 as the official start of the campaign. He urged citizens to support The Salvation Army’s mission of hope and service.
