The Boston Bruins will be without star forward Casey Mittelstadt for the foreseeable future.
Mittelstadt suffered an injury during Thursday night’s 3-2 overtime win over the Ottawa Senators. He didn’t travel with the team to Toronto to play the Maple Leafs on Saturday, and now, Bruins head coach Marco Sturm gave an update and revealed Mittelstadt is week-to-week.
“He’s week-to-week, but I think he’s doing better than we expected,” Sturm said , via Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe. “So hopefully we can get him on the ice as soon as possible.”
Although Mittelstadt is feeling better than expected, he still will be out for a couple of weeks.
Mittelstadt is off to a hot start as he’s recorded four goals and five assists for nine points in 15 games.
