ANN ARBOR – Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore opened his Monday news conference with a somewhat optimistic injury update after his team entered last week’s bye a banged-up bunch.

The 18 th -ranked Wolverines were down two key linebackers – Jimmy Rolder and Cole Sullivan – in their Nov. 1 win over Purdue and lost another in Jaishawn Barham on the second snap of the game.

After a week off, Moore said he is encouraged by the progress all three are making ahead of Saturday’s game against Northwestern at Wrigley Field.

“Getting guys healthy, that was the number one goal,” Moore said of the bye. “We wanted to make sure we got guys healthy. Obviously, get work in, do things to get us better, but trying to get guys back. We’ll see what their status is as we go through the week, but feel good
