CLOQUET, Minn. (Northern News Now) - A simple blood donation saves lives on a daily basis, and those who receive blood know how valuable it can be; many of them even make it their purpose to give back whenever they can.

It’s the life motto Beth Kersting-Peterson has been living by her whole life. She’s been donating blood since the day she was able to, but she never thought she’d be on the receiving end of those donations.
Kersting-Peterson said, “I didn’t know what was wrong, I just knew I had a hard time breathing, I was fatigued all the time, but I had no idea what it was.”
