VIRGINIA, Minn. (Northern News Now) - A crash involving six vehicles on Highway 53, north of Virginia, resulted in multiple people being brought to the hospital on Monday.

According to St. Louis County Sheriff Gordon Ramsay, slippery road conditions and failing to slow down for emergency vehicles contributed to the crash.

Authorities were responding to a crash scene when drivers approached at unsafe speeds and struck a State Patrol captain’s truck on the scene.

Sheriff Ramsay shared on Facebook that no Troopers were injured in the accident.

At least six people were transported to area hospitals with unknown injuries.
