A little snow in Iowa didn't stop athletes from competing in the Junior College Cross Country National Championships.
More than 1,300 runners from over 200 colleges across the country came to Fort Dodge, Iowa. More than 2 inches of snow covered the course at Lakeside Golf Course, with more falling as runners raced.
"Some had never seen snow, some had never ran in snow," Iowa Central Community College Director of Athletic Communications Paul DeCoursey told KCCI.
DeCoursey shared several photos with us (below), saying, "They all left with an Iowa experience!"
The Iowa Central men won the D1 national championship and DMACC was national runner-up in D2.
