The Red Fort, a major tourist attraction in Delhi , will remain shut for three days following a deadly car explosion. The blast, which happened Monday evening, has left 13 dead and several injured. The explosion took place in a slow-moving Hyundai i20 near Netaji Subhash Marg, close to Red Fort Chowk in Old Delhi. It triggered a fire that damaged multiple vehicles and created panic among pedestrians.

The Station House Officer of Kotwali Police Station wrote to the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) requesting the closure of the Red Fort for three days from November 11 to November 13. The letter said that "investigation of the scene of crime is in progress, but yet to be completed." Home Minister Amit Shah said all
