At least 10 people were killed and nearly 24 were injured in a horrifying car explosion near Delhi’s iconic Red Fort on November 10, 2025. The historic structure was closed, and the Lal Qila Metro Station was temporarily shut down. A serious safety operation and anti-terrorism law inquiry were triggered by the Hyundai i20 car explosion that occurred close to the metro station at a red signal.
Red Fort Closed For 3 Days
In order to assist investigations and ensure safety, the Archaeological Survey of India has ordered the Red Fort to be closed from November 11 to 13. In order to reduce further risk, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation paused operations at the busiest Lal Qila Metro Station, while adjoining Chandni Chowk, one of Delhi’s oldest and busiest markets, underwent temporary closures
