18 people have been taken to the hospital after a mobile lounge used to ferry passengers between terminals and the concourse crashed into a dock at Washington Dulles International Airport

The incident took place on Monday, Nov. 10, at around 4.30 p.m.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) confirmed that the airport was open and operating as usual following the incident, per ABC News

Multiple people have been hospitalized after a mobile lounge crashed into a dock at Washington Dulles International Airport.

On Monday, Nov. 10, the vehicle, which transports people between terminals and concourses, struck the dock at around 4:30 p.m., according to UPI , the BBC and ABC News .
