A mum from Tunbridge Wells couldn't believe her eyes when she was shopping at Aldi and a rat appeared from behind the stacks of foil trays of chicken. Sammie Daw, 35, who lives in High Brooms, was planning a nice Sunday roast treat for her and her 15-year-old son when she came face to face with the 'gross' rodent.

She went to the supermarket on Saturday, at around 1pm, to pick up a chicken. But as she took the meat in its foil baking tray from the fridge shelf, to her horror, the long-tailed rat jumped and scurried away.
