BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The man charged with second-degree arson in the massive fire that destroyed homes in Five Points South on Halloween , as well as a fire that destroyed Big Escape Rooms, is now being charged for second-degree attempted arson in another Birmingham fire.
Joshua Jay Mitchell, 42, of Roanoke, is charged with second-degree arson in the fire that started in the 1300 block of 20th Street South.
He is also accused of a setting a fire at Big Escape Rooms located at 1210 20th Street S in Suite 250 on Halloween as well.
Mitchell made his first court appearance for the fires on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
According to court records Mitchell is now facing a new charge. He is charged with second-degree attempted arson.
