A woman was sexually attacked on a train heading to Birmingham with police issuing a CCTV appeal.

It happened on a train from Edinburgh on Thursday, October 23, at around 9am.

The woman travelling on the service woke up to a man sexually assaulting her.

He then got off the train in Wolverhampton .

Officers from British Transport Police issued a CCTV image of a man its officers would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The man was white, clean-shaven with a shaved head.

He was pictured wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans and white trainers and was carrying a phone.
