SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - A coach is returning to Sioux City to lead the athletics program at one of the city’s universities.

Starting Monday, Dec. 8, Dan McDermott, Briar Cliff University’s new athletics director, will return to lead the university’s athletics program.

McDermott returns to Briar Cliff with more than 35 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics, coaching, and sports administration.

In the new position, McDermott will oversee all varsity and junior varsity athletics, facilities, fundraising, enrollment management, marketing, strategic planning and operations, coming from the Briar Cliff athletics program.
