ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Sometimes the best lessons in school don’t happen at a desk.
At Ladue’s Early Childhood Center (LECC), mornings roll a little differently — thanks to Principal Dr. Stacy Carlock, who recently gained national attention for her unique way of connecting with students.
Instead of walking the halls, Carlock glides through them on roller skates. For her, it’s more than just a fun routine — it’s a way to bring joy and confidence to her preschoolers.
“We set the foundation here,” Carlock said. “We get them ready for kindergarten. When students come in, they want to learn through the things that they love.”
