PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - Pueblo School District 60 announced its plans for consolidating and closing schools across the city.
Following months of public meetings, the district said its plan is to ensure the schools are operating sustainably amid declining enrollment numbers.
The district shared three priorities for its rightsizing plan, which include enhancing innovative and effective programs for students, optimizing budgetary resources to ensure long-term sustainability and reducing instructional reliance on aging facilities while expanding community access to services.
The district shared four key recommendations.
