Chubby Cattle Wagyu Shabu House , an all-you-can-eat, Japanese-style wagyu beef restaurant, has opened in Novi at 42768 Grand River in the Sakura Novi shopping center. The soft opening was Monday.

Detroit News food writer Melody Baetens reports:

Guests pay one price and get all the protein they can eat to cook at their table in flavored pots of broth.

The three tiers start at $48 per person for basic and feature American and Australian wagyu, sushi and seafood. The silver tier is $58 per person and features Japanese A5 wagyu cuts, including wagyu tartare and wagyu bone marrow. The ultimate gold tier is $78 and has all of that, plus exclusive A5 wagyu cuts and other premium meat. (Some cuts are limited to one per visit.)
