The motorcyclist killed in a crash outside of a Bergen County Wawa last week has been identified as a 37-year-old father of two.
Gyancarlo R. Cabrera, of North Bergen, died in the Saturday afternoon, Nov. 8, collision near the Wawa in Lodi across from Route 17, NorthJersey.com reports citing officials.
According to his obituary on the Barquin Funeral Home website, Cabrera was born in Hoboken and is survived by his children, Giannis Gyancarlo Cabrera and Gianara Giada Cabrera; along with his parents, Roberto V. Cabrera and Gloria Salas; and sister, Marcela Salas.
Gail Elliffe, who shares Giannis and Gianara with Gyancarlo, said he "adored" his children.
"We met and planned our family quickly he wanted to be a dad, she said. "He was so involved in what the kids ate, played with he cared about everything."
Outside of being a father, Gyancarlo loved "Deadpool," playing video games and riding his motorcycle.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
