A real estate company has acquired a brand-new 423-unit luxury apartment building in North Jersey in a major deal.
Sentinel Real Estate announced that it acquired Stonehill at West Orange, which is comprised of three, mid-rise buildings with one-, two- and three-bedroom units, the company said. The project was completed in 2024.
The 423 apartments offer nine- to ten-foot ceilings, luxury plank flooring, stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, Shaker cabinetry, solar window shades, large bathrooms with dual vanities, modular closets and in-unit washer and dryers, officials said. Select apartments include work desk areas, wine bars, extra storage, frameless shower doors and private balconies or patios.
Residents have access to more than 44,000 square feet of amenities, the company said. Those features include two fitness centers, a movement studio with on-demand training, social lounges, multiple coffee bars, co-working areas with private offices, two sports simulator lounges, a children’s playroom, two game lounges, a movie lounge, an outdoor lawn and TV area, grilling stations, firepits, two pet spas, a dog run and a secure package station. The property also has 816 parking spaces, private garage parking with direct floor access, EV charging and 24/7 concierge service.
“Stonehill at West Orange’s modern architecture, high-end interiors and abundant, best-in-class amenity suite is representative of our strategy of investing in luxury multifamily assets situated in close proximity to diverse employment and lifestyle nodes,” said George Tietjen, Managing Director of Sentinel. “This property is well-positioned to benefit from limited local residential supply, coupled with its convenient accessibility to quality necessity retail, restaurants and easy commute to the tri-state offices of leading companies in the healthcare, education, financial services, pharmaceuticals and technology sectors.”
The property is located between Route 280 and Route 10 with access to regional job hubs in Newark, Jersey City and New York City, the company said.
A shuttle connects residents to the Orange NJ Transit Rail Station three miles away, offering a 30-minute ride to Penn Station. The community is next to the Essex Green Shopping Center and is close to Whole Foods Market, restaurants, premier golf courses and more than 2,500 acres of forested public parks with views of the New York City skyline.
