HARRIMAN, Tenn. (WVLT) - Steve Summers, the costumer designer and creative director behind Dolly Parton’s extensive wardrobe, will no longer be speaking at Roane State Community College. The college attributed the cancellation to low ticket sales.

Summers was slated to speak Friday at 6:30 p.m. at the O’Brien Theatre. The Harriman native worked with Dolly for more than three decades.

Dolly herself was also going to make a virtual appearance via a prerecorded message.

A spokesperson for Roane State said ticketholders have already been notified and sent refund information.
