FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 45-year-old Fort Wayne man is facing a felony dealing charge after allegedly giving his girlfriend the dose of fentanyl that killed her in June.
Jeremy Duvall is facing a dealing a controlled substance resulting in death charge in connection with Keana Swafford’s death on June 27. The charge carries a potential 40-year prison sentence.
Duvall called the police to report that Swafford was unconscious and had possibly overdosed, but when police arrived, he was nowhere to be found, according to court records obtained by 21Investigates. His uncle was still at the home and told police Duvall likely left because he had a warrant.
Despite first responders’ efforts, Swafford died at the scene.
