LOVELAND, Ohio (WXIX) - An 18-year-old is in jail facing a felonious assault charge after Loveland police say he shot a man outside his home.
The charge against Harry Nelson stems from a shooting that happened around 3 p.m. Wednesday on Iriquous Drive, according to police.
Loveland police say the victim drove off after being shot and called 911 from a different jurisdiction.
Scanner traffic says the victim later returned to the home where the shooting happened.
Nelson’s attorney argued in court Thursday that this shooting took place because Nelson saw the man fighting with his mother.
“It was a paramour of hers that was attacking her... that was attacking her that led to this entire attack,” the attorney said.
