Mayor-elect Mary Sheffield has assembled prominent leaders in business, philanthropy, community organizing, public safety and other key sectors to craft her plan for the first 100 days in office.

Sheffield named the leaders of her transition team and kicked off the group’s first meeting Thursday, Nov. 13 at its Marygrove Conservancy headquarters. The team is embarking on “the boldest, most rigorous and inclusive transition in Detroit’s history,” Sheffield said, incorporating feedback from residents in upcoming public surveys and forums.
