WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - On Thursday, Williston’s fire chief told staff he planned on retiring from his position at the end of the year. A day later, Williston City leaders say his retirement is now effective immediately.
In a release, the city says the decision was made to start the transition process.
Assistant Chief Corey Johnson will serve as Interim Fire Chief.
A city spokesperson says more information will be released on Monday.
