INDIANAPOLIS — After 13News reported on one family’s call for more safety measures at a south side intersection, new data is shedding light on crashes there.
The Indianapolis Fatal Crash Review Team found during a review of fatal and incapacitating crashes during March-April 2025, Raymond and Shelby streets was the highest crash location.
A Road Safety Audit then looked at crash data from June 15, 2022 to June 16, 2025 and found there were 102 crashes. None of the crashes during that time period were fatal, while 20 had some type of injury. Only one was flagged as involving a pedestrian.
The majority of the crashes happened during daylight, on clear and dry days. Approximately a third of the crashes were caused by a failure to yield right of way and a quarter by a driver following anoth
