TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Authorities said a Tucson man was killed by a speeding and impaired driver while pushing his disabled vehicle late Friday, Nov. 14.
The Tucson Police Department said 35-year-old Adrian Avalos died, and four other people were injured in the crash near Speedway and Main.
According to the TPD, Avalos’ vehicle broke down. Two of his friends and a good Samaritan began pushing the vehicle, with Avalos positioned at the driver’s door.
The TPD said a 72-year-old driver was speeding when his vehicle drifted and hit Avalos and his vehicle. Avalos’ vehicle then hit the other three people pushing it.
While Avalos died, the three men pushing his vehicle suffered minor injuries and were treated on-scene. The other driver, who has not been named, was taken a hospital with mi
