A tornado warning was released by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 10:17 p.m. in effect until 10:45 p.m. for Greene and Washington counties.
"At 10:16 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located 8 miles southeast of Valley Grove, moving east at 40 mph," explains the weather service. "Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely."
The following locations are to possibly be affected by the tornado:
Waynesburg around 10:35 p.m.
Jefferson Boro around 10:40 p.m.
