Crews rescued an injured mountain biker after he crashed into a tree on Bullwinkle Trail at Walden's Ridge Bike Park Saturday.

The Chattanooga Fire Department said they joined Walden's Ridge Fire at the scene. Hamilton County EMS also responded.

The injured biker was in a position that required an ATV response from the bottom of the trail.

Firefighters tended to his wounds and worked to control bleeding. They then picked him up and brought him out of the woods to a waiting ambulance.

The rescue took an hour and a half, CFD says.
