BRANFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - An investigation is underway following a deadly crash in Branford on Saturday night.

At around 11:50 p.m. first responders were called to the intersection of North Main Street and Cedar Street after a report of a serious crash involving two vehicles, the police department said.

One of the drivers suffered serious injuries in the collision and was quickly transported to a nearby hospital.

Officials have now confirmed the driver, a 19-year-old man from East Haven, died due to the extent of injuries.
