New York Jets ‘aware of situation’ involving cornerback Kris Boyd

The New York Jets said they were “aware of the situation” involving cornerback Kris Boyd, the team told CNN on Sunday.

The team added they will have “no further comment at this time.”

A shooting took place on West 38 th Street in Manhattan around 2 a.m.ET on Sunday morning, where a 29-year-old male was shot in the abdomen, the New York Police Department told CNN.

The police did not mention Boyd’s name.

The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital where is listed in critical but stable condition.

The New York Post was first to report on the situation.

CNN has reached out to Boyd’s agent for comment.
