New Delhi, Nov16: In a major breakthrough in the Red Fort car blast case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a Kashmiri resident for conspiring with the suicide bomber behind the deadly attack that claimed 10 lives and injured 32 others.
Amir Rashid Ali, in whose name the car used in the blast was registered, was taken into custody in Delhi following a massive search operation launched by the NIA after it took over the investigation from Delhi Police.
Investigations revealed that Ali, a resident of Samboora, Pampore in Jammu and Kashmir, conspired with the alleged suicide bomber, Umar UnNabi, to carry out the attack. Ali reportedly travelled to Delhi to facilitate the purchase of the Hyundai i20 that was later rigged as a vehicle-borne improvised explosive
