The city’s lifeline, the Delhi Metro network, has started to see a minor transformation wherein the names of three stations one existing and two under construction have been changed.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the decision on November 16, saying that the revisions are intended to bring in a clearer local identity and make travel easier for passengers.

The popular Metro stop at Pitampura will now have an official name: Madhuban Chowk Metro Station. Even the proposed northern Pitampura station in Q-Block will be more aptly called Uttari Pitampura-Prashant Vihar Metro Station.
