A woman has tragically died after collapsing on the dancefloor during a Motown Night event in Sheffield. The incident occurred at Eckington Civic Centre on Saturday, where the woman was celebrating her 69th birthday with friends. According to a spokesperson for the venue, the woman suddenly fell ill while enjoying the festivities. "At Saturday's Motown night, a lady on the dance floor suddenly collapsed and became seriously ill. Medical professionals in the room attempted CPR and Paramedics arrived within 10 minutes," the spokesperson stated on Facebook. Despite the immediate response from medical personnel, the woman sadly passed away. The spokesperson expressed condolences, saying, "We would like to pass on our deepest condolences to her family and friends at this difficult time. Thank you to those who tried to help; your efforts were honourable."
