ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WIS) - Officials in Orangeburg are set to provide an update on a shooting that happened inside a grocery store last week.

The Orangeburg Department of Public Safety said it received reports of gunfire at the Food Lion on Chestnut Street at around 12:20 p.m. Friday.

Capt. Victor Cordon said the shooting was the result of “some type of altercation.” He also said that the victim was reportedly shot at when they were walking away.

The Food Lion closed for the remainder of Friday, but reopened on Saturday.
