LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) – A Lincoln County woman is facing charges after investigators say she repeatedly abused a disabled, non-verbal adult in her care.

According to an arrest citation, 48-year-old Sandy Gail Whitaker was arrested on November 14 after Adult Protective Services contacted law enforcement about possible abuse involving a woman who is non-verbal and unable to care for herself.

A responding deputy spoke with a family member, who reported that Whitaker, the woman’s hired caretaker, had been caught on video physically assaulting the victim on multiple occasions.
