The Met Office has issued advice for staying warm this week as temperatures plummet to -3C in Greater Manchester.
Several severe weather warnings for snow and ice have been issued and the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has issued a cold weather alert.
There are two yellow weather warnings for ice in place overnight from 7pm on Monday (November 17) until 10am on Tuesday morning (November 18) affecting parts of Scotland. A yellow snow warning comes into effect at 3am in the early hours of Tuesday morning, remaining in place until 6pm the same day, also affecting parts of Scotland.
And an ice warning is in place from 5am on Tuesday morning until 12pm the same day affecting parts of north west England, north east England, Scotland, and Yorkshire.
