Scots are being urged to brace for snow and ice as the wild weather is set to bring widespread disruption. Multiple yellow warnings for the white stuff as well as ice have been issued by the Met Office and come into force this week.
The snow warning is to begin at 3am on Tuesday, November 17, lasting until 6pm the same day. According to the national forecaster, this winter weather will be brought on by a band of rain set to hit the west tomorrow morning.
Scotland's snow warning is widespread above the Central Belt, stretching from Perthshire to the north Highlands. It also covers from Aberdeenshire in the east across to Argyll & Bute on the west coast.
The snow will predominantly impact those on higher ground with between 2-5cm expected, with up to 5-10
