A 12-year-old in LaPlace has been arrested for allegedly slapping a 17-year-old and stealing money from him.
According to deputies, the incident was reported on Saturday, Nov. 15, around 4 p.m. at Greenwood Park in LaPlace. Advertisement
The victim told deputies he was approached by two males, one of them later identified as a 14-year-old boy wearing a ski mask.
According to the victim, he attempted to run, but they chased him.
The 12-year-old suspect slapped the victim in the back of the head and removed money from his pockets, according to the victim.
When the suspect demanded the victim's phone, the victim was able to run away.
The 17-year-old told police he recognized the suspect from a previous incident in which he had stolen money from him.
