WACO, Texas — The Cameron Park Zoo in Waco may soon welcome a new bundle of joy.

The zoo has announced that orangutans Mei and KJ are expecting a baby, reportedly due in January!

The zoo will celebrate mom Mei and dad KJ with a baby shower at the zoo on Saturday, Dec. 13. The shower will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, and the public is invited to attend.

Mei and KJ are even registered at Target for the baby shower, with Central Texans able to buy them gifts to commemorate the occasion. The gifts, which include things like toys, blankets, lights and food supplies, will all go towards the animals' enrichment, the zoo said.
