The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for six districts in Kerala- Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, and Malappuram, warning of isolated heavy rainfall ranging between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm within 24 hours.
According to the latest IMD forecast, Kottayam and Idukki will continue to remain under the yellow alert on Wednesday. Kerala is expected to experience heavy rainfall till November 19, with additional spells predicted on November 22 and 23.
The IMD has also predicted light to moderate rainfall at Sannidhanam, Pamba, and Nilakkal over the next three hours, which may impact pilgrim movements and outdoor activities in the region.
