A pair of brothers from Coventry were behind a three month long theft spree across the city. David and Patrick McDonagh targeted work vans across the city between March and May of this year.
Police say that they stole more than £42,000 worth of tools and caused damage to work vans across the city, drilling locks so that they could get inside. They targeted vans and other work vehicles which were parked up in car parks, causing misery for scores of self-employed tradespeople.
But their spree has come to an end after police carried out hundreds of hours of enquiries to identify them.
