A politician met a tragic end after being set upon by a rampaging gang of monkeys at his home.
Surinder Singh Bajwa, a deputy mayor in New Delhi, India, was on the first-floor terrace of his dwelling when a pack of rhesus macaques invaded the balcony.
Local residents reported he attempted to frighten them away, but tumbled during the mayhem and plummeted to the ground.
He was taken to Apollo Hospital in a grave condition with severe head trauma and declared dead the next day.
