Police have seized six E-bikes, one capable of exceeding the UK's default speed limit, after an operation in the city centre. The bikes were seized while officers from the St Michael's Police team were out with immigration officials checking on the wellbeing of delivery drivers working in town.
The operation is part of "proactive patrols tackling the issues that matter" to residents.
A spokesman for St Michael's Police ward said: "E-bike operations take place on a regular basis and our officers seize a substantial amount of these bikes.
"Six E-bikes were seized in and around the City Centre in one of our Operations this week. St Michaels Team have been busy this week working on a joint operation with immigration to speak with food delivery drivers to make sure they are not being exploit
