Medics said 'nothing could be done' to save a man who died at a Midlands McDonald's restaurant.

Emergency services raced to the fast-food joint in Eccleshall Road, Stafford, at around 6.20pm on Monday, November 17.

A man was found in a critical condition and was confirmed dead 'a short time later'.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a medical emergency at Stafford Trade Centre, Stone Road, Stafford at 6.21pm.

"An ambulance, two paramedic officers and a critical care paramedic responded to the scene.

"Crews arrived to find a man in a critical condition and administered advanced life support.
