A man has been charged with an attack at a Birmingham bar which forced it to close pending a licence review.
A 33-year-old man suffered serious face and head injuries following the incident at the Garretts Green Sports Bar, at the junction of Granby Avenue and Valepits Road in Garretts Green, on Tuesday, November 4.
Benjamin Duprey, 34, of Holbeach Road in Lea Hall, has been charged with GBH (grievous bodily harm).

The venue was open at the time with the attack taking place shortly before 8pm.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was called to reports of an ‘unconscious patient’ at Garretts Green Sports Bar at 7.56pm.
But its crew was ‘stood down prior to arrive as no longer required’.
