CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Austin Kingsbury, 24 of Tripoli, has been sentenced to more than 38 years in federal prison for sexually abusing three children and distributing, receiving, and possessing child pornography. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Iowa says Kingsbury pleaded guilty in June and evidence at sentencing revealed he had photographed himself abusing one of the children and distributed child pornography in May 2023. He also downloaded such content between August 2022 and June 2023. Chief Judge C.J. Williams sentenced Kingsbury to 460 months and 22 days in prison, with a five-year supervised release to follow.
