LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Gallatin County, Kentucky airport is getting some new upgrades.
The airport, located in Sparta, Kentucky near Interstate 71, got a $1 million upgrade to its fueling system, according to state officials.
“Investments like this ensure our airports continue to boost economic growth for communities like Gallatin County,” Gov. Andy Beshear said. “With modern infrastructure in place, local businesses, flight students and visitors now benefit from enhanced access and convenience, helping drive jobs and tourism across the region and state.”
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) said the fueling system upgrade will help enhance local business activity, vendor demand and increase revenue for both the county and the commonwealth.
