Wendell Moore Jr. started the season with the Celtics in training camp before reuniting with the Pistons. Now, he’s already getting some playing time in Detroit, the East’s best team this season with a 12-2 record and on a 10-game win streak.
Moore was with the Celtics throughout training camp, playing in two preseason games. Then he ended up with the Maine Celtics in the G League after getting waived. He played a couple games in Maine before inking a two-way contract with the Pistons . Moore played 20 games in Detroit last season, so he has some familiarity with the organization.
After signing last week, Moore has played in all three of Detroit’s games. He’s averaging 2.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists through 14.3 minutes per game. The Pistons have been injured this past week
