FRANKENMUTH, MI – The Frankenmuth Police Department is urging the public to be on the lookout for suspicious vehicles and counterfeit $100 bills following a recent string of incidents.
“Frankenmuth is a safe community, and we want to keep it that way,” Frankenmuth Police Department officials said in a news release.
Nine vehicle thefts have been reported in Frankenmuth over the past 10 months, two of which occurred in the past two weeks. Most vehicles were stolen from dealerships and hotels, police said.
Among the vehicles targeted in the spate of thefts was a 2019 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie Mega Cab with a 6.4-liter Hemi engine, which was stolen at about 2:50 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15. The vehicle was driven away from the scene of the incident, traveling westbound on Jefferson Street, polic
