A 16-year-old Guelph boy has been charged after spitting on five Guelph police officers last month.
Police said the incident occurred on Oct. 26, just before 5 p.m., after officers responded to a disturbance at a home on Waterloo Avenue.
A teen approached an officer inside the home, police said, and pushed him in the chest. The teen was then apprehended and taken to hospital for treatment, where he spat in the faces of two officers and spat on another two officers’ clothing.
The teen was moved to a private room, police said, where he spat in a third officer’s face and also spat in the face of a security guard. He was left in care of hospital personnel for treatment.
